About Us

The Cyber Crime Department is a specialized law enforcement unit that investigates and handles crimes involving computers, networks, and digital devices. These crimes include:

• Hacking
• Online fraud and scams
• Identity theft
• Cyberbullying
• Phishing
• Data breaches
• Child exploitation online

They use digital forensics and cyber intelligence tools to trace and catch criminals operating in cyberspace. In India, the Cyber Crime Cell operates under state police departments and also through the Cyber Crime Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
